The Saint Mabyn Peace Memorial Hall was gifted over 100 years ago to the local community.  We recently celebrated the centenary by making an oral (click here) and pictorial history of the Hall and a tapestry, which was created by Saint Mabyn school children and the 'Makers Group'.

This inspired us to raise funds to renovate, restore and update the Hall.  Progress has been rapid.  A new kitchen and equipment; a new south facing terrace; access from the kitchen and the hall; new public and hall toilets,  with disabled access,  and a new store for the community shop.  The adjoining car park now has easier disabled access to the Hall.

Users of the Hall and the community have raised and are still raising considerable sums of money for the project.  'Buy a Brick', the Village Fete, the Coffee Morning, the Young Farmers Club, Haywood Cider Farm and many individuals have donated.

Our Village Hall offers the local community and surrounding area an excellent venue for a wide range of activities and events, that include the separate snooker room to the hall, also providing opportunities to be inspirational and creative using the stage and hall.

We are currently raising funds for the creation of a meeting room for the Support Squad, Parish Council and other small groups in order to release the main hall for larger events and to reduce energy costs.

Funding for wall and roof insulation is being applied for together with roof mounted solar panels, these to be installed in the last phase of the project.  This work will reduce energy costs and enable hall hire costs to be held at current levels for longer.

We have an inspirational location and facilities which has led many on an artistic and creative journey of discovery.

Come and Enjoy!
